Chelsea placed 4th with 28.33 points at the 63rd Annual Kermit N. Ambrose Eastern Michigan Huron Relays Girl's Results on Friday, March 23rd. Dearborn Divine Child placed 1st with 68.33 points, Detroit Renaissance placed 2nd with 57.5 points, and Jackson placed 3rd with 33 points.
We performed well as a team for our first meet of the season. We had some notable standout performances by individuals. Riley Davis placed in a three-way tie for 2nd in the high jump with a height of 4' 11". She also helped the 4x400 relay place 4th. Myranda Montoye had fast splits in the 4x800 and 4x400 relays, which both placed 4th. Jenna Gileczek placed 3rd in the pole vault with a height of 9' 6". This was a good meet to test our approach to competition and our readiness for the upcoming outdoor season.
We will have our first outdoor meet on Tuesday, April 10th, against Ypsilanti Community Schools at home. We are looking forward to improving and competing well this season.
